Usually the same day. It is a cash offer, not an estimate that gets re-traded when the truck arrives.
3. We schedule around you
Outage windows, plant shutdowns, landlord access hours. If a utility disconnect has to come first, we coordinate the timing.
4. We pay, then we haul
Paid before the unit moves. Our crew does the teardown and rigging; our truck takes it away.

Transformer selling questions
Straight answers
What kinds of transformers do you buy?
Pad-mount, oil-filled, dry-type, cast-coil, substation, power, distribution, unit substation and network transformers, plus scrap-grade units. Transformers are all we buy, which is why we can price them better than a general equipment dealer.
Do I have to test the transformer before you make an offer?
No. Testing is never required. We evaluate the unit ourselves from photos, the nameplate and our own inspection at pickup.
Who pays for freight and rigging?
We do. Freight, rigging, cribbing, permits and escorts are our cost and are already built into the offer you receive.
When do I get paid?
Before the transformer leaves your property. Our offers are cash offers and are not contingent on us reselling the unit.
Will you buy just one transformer?
Yes. A single unit is worth a call. We also buy entire laydown yards, plant substations and liquidation lots as one purchase.
What if the transformer is oil-filled or may contain PCBs?
We buy it either way. If the nameplate does not confirm non-PCB status we treat the unit as presumed-contaminated, price the correct disposal path into the offer, and tell you plainly which category your unit falls into.
Do you buy transformers that are burned out or gutted?
Yes, as scrap-grade purchases priced on metal content. Do not assume that is what you have though. Sellers routinely scrap units we would have paid several times scrap price for.
